Join Renew's Tas South Branch on Monday 7th Sept at BierHalle, 124 Davey St, Hobart where the guest speaker will be David Barwick, Manager of Works Planning at Transend Networks and Director of TPS Energy. He will discuss the regulations for renewable energy projects in Tasmania, including the proposed solar farm at Pipers River, and another project he is working on in Queensland. The topic may be expanded to include domestic projects as well.

Kate Tucker and an earthship build in Cygnet
Join Renew's Tas South Branch on Monday 6th July at the Republic Bar in North Hobart where the guest speaker is Kate Tucker, Technical Manager of Strategic Land Use Planning at Huon Valley Council. Kate will Kate will detail the journey of designing and owner-building a contemporary, off-grid Earthship in Cygnet, Tasmania. The project was a collaboration between Matt Ellis, the primary owner-builder, and Kate, who managed the planning, design, and approvals process.
