Jiri Lev has built his home in the Meander Region of Tasmania, which he used as a test case for a small building that uses local materials and labour and has a small ecological footprint. He has made the plans available at no charge. His practice focusses on multi-occupant homes, ecovillages and true affordability.

Jiri is also the founder of Architects Assist, which was formed in 2020 after the disastrous bushfire season to help people recover. It now comes under the umbrella of the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA). The aim is to provide support to communities affected by natural disasters and other adversities, helping them to rebuild and recover. People who are left homeless from natural disasters are referred to AIA members, who assist in redesigning and rebuilding homes at reduced costs or pro bono.

Jiri Lev was featured in Sanctuary 58.  You can read more about his Tiny Treasure here.
