Abstract:

For many people building to the Passivhaus standard is the logical next step on from passive-solar design. We will be looking at least 5 very different houses targeting the Passivhaus Standard in Tasmania. One is at a higher altitude, one in an historic precinct, one a very shady site and two recently Certified units at home in a suburban street.

All buildings have several things in common:

Modelling in the Passivhaus software has meant that the very human criteria of comfort, health and efficiency is assured for the new owners;

Certification ensures building performance is at the very core of each building project.
