Sunulator training session a success
Renew energy analysts have been busy holding training sessions of Sunulator, Renew’s free online tool that estimates the economic feasibility of solar-battery systems.
Andrew Reddaway conducted workshops for solar installers at the Clean Energy Council in Melbourne on March 27 and April 9, taking the total number of training sessions held around the country to 17 since Sunulator was established in 2014.
“We’ve had solar installers attend many of our previous sessions, but these were the first ones offered specifically to Clean Energy Council-accredited solar installers and designers via the CEC,” Mr Reddaway said.
“We got a lot of positive feedback on how solar installers can use Sunulator to help assess the relative financial benefits to their customers of adding a battery.
“Many thanks to the CEC for initiating two very-well organised events, and for ensuring they count towards the installers’ requirements for continuous professional development. We hope to be able to run these sessions in other locations in the future.”
Sunulator was used and played an important part in the early feasibility stages of Australia’s first community-owned solar farm at Tathra in NSW, and in 2017 helped ensure the feasibility of a groundbreaking community solar project in Victoria.
