This is our final event before the annual Christmas party and it seems fitting to finish our series of talks with an event focusing on Pingala and how community energy is central to our transition to an equitable, 100% renewable energy system.

Speaker: Tom Nockolds is part of the team at Pingala, one of Australia’s most widely recognised community energy brands. He is a leading expert in community energy business models and as a member of the Community Power Agency team was instrumental in securing ARENA and NSW Government funding for the Social Access Solar Gardens project.

Talk summary: Tom will outline the work Pingala has been doing to achieve their vision of “Fairer Energy” in the three areas of: Solar Gardens, Energy Co-operatives and financing Solar for Indigenous Communities. The talk will further highlight through practical examples, how people can get involved in the citizen-led energy movement that Pingala is creating.
