Guaranteeing energy supply
What is the role of renewable energy in the National Energy Market?
Dr Kerry Schott AO, a major architect of the National Energy Guarantee, addressed this question and the issue of guaranteeing energy supply in a changing market in a public talk in Melbourne on February 20 organised by Renew’s Melbourne Branch as part of the National Sustainable Living Festival.
Introduced by Renew chair Helen Millicer, Dr Schott spoke about the role of the Energy Security Board, its resources and responsibilities. The Board creates security in the National Energy Market.
She is chair of the Energy Security Board, chair of Moorebank Intermodal Company, a director of NBN, and a director of TCorp NSW. She also chairs the Assurance Board for Sydney Metro, and is a member of the Advisory Board for City and SouthEast Light Rail.
