Community EV Open Day
Glendale’s Hunter Sports Centre was the place for this free event hosted by Lake Macquarie City and proudly supported by Renew’s Hunter Region Branch. Whether considering buying an electric vehicle, already own one or simply want to see what all the fuss is about – we had you covered!
The local community had an opportunity to hear different perspectives from EV drivers and their personal experiences of owning an electric vehicle. Test drives were not be available but people could sit behind the wheel of most of the models on display. Renew Hunter EVheads had hot drinks and barbecues powered by our EVs which have vehicle to load (V2L) capability.
Renew Hunter members own a variety of the latest models including GWM Ora, MG4, BYD Atto 3, Geely EX5, Zeekr 7x Performance, Nissan Leaf, Tesla 3 and Tesla Y.
The event also included informative displays on home and public charging options, battery systems and other energy management technology. There’s never been a better time to buy an electric vehicle – no more worries about the price of fuel at the bowser!
