Renew partners with WithOneBean

Renew is proud to say that it’s possible to combine our passion for renewable energy and sustainability with our love of coffee.

Renew has formed a partnership with a not-for-profit social enterprise, WithOneBean. WithOneBean works with subsistence coffee farmers to improve coffee quality, imports their coffee at fair prices to Australia, roasts the coffee in Melbourne immediately prior to shipping to customers and uses profits to improve lives in rural Timor-Leste.

Buy your coffee at withonebean.org.au , enter the promotional code “RENEW” and a share of the proceeds will go to solar home lighting in Timor-Leste.

This is a great opportunity to double your social impact.

WithOneBean coffee is sourced directly from over 650 subsistence coffee farmers in Timor-Leste, who produce the coffee cherry using 100% organic farming methods on small-holder farms.

Time is spent in remote villages working closely with subsistence farmers, growing their capacity to improve crop yields and harvesting practices. And importantly, these farmers are paid above the local market price for the green coffee beans that are brought to Australia.

The coffee is then freshly roasted in Melbourne which makes sure you’re drinking coffee no longer than a week or two after roasting.

WithOneBean commits producing carbon neutral coffee by planting a tree for every kilo of coffee that is roasted.  This year WithOneBean will plant 20,000 trees in Timor-Leste.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support our work in Timor-Leste with something many of us rely on every day. Combined with the great work of WithOneBean, you can rest assured that your purchase is impacting our neighbours in ways that no other coffee can.
