Smart Meter Data
The most accurate way to optimise the size of your solar PV and/or battery system, and accurately predict your energy bill savings, is by using smart meter data. If you don’t have a smart meter, then your energy bill is the next best option.
If you have a smart meter, there are a variety of online web portals where you can download your data and use it to undertake solar and/or battery analysis.
Which one to use depends on which distribution network you are in (i.e. the company that manages the “poles and wires”) or which electricity retailer you are with.
Due to its format, ATA prefers to use smart meter from distributors for solar and battery analysis. As a second best option, we can also use the data held by your electricity retailer. Ultimately the data is the same and will result in the same advice.
