Presentation: Owen Sharpe, Principal Industry Development Officer (Hydrogen) SA Dept Energy & Mining.
Owen was the SA Young Energy Professional of 2018 and led the development of SA’s Hydrogen Action Plan. He is responsible for maximising economic opportunities associated with SA’s renewable energy transition and sees significant opportunities for the state as a hub for the production, use and export of renewable hydrogen.
The presentation will include the following:
- Production methods and H2 classifications – grey, green and blue
- Storage and distribution
- Uses including network injection, engines, fuel cells, chemical and fertiliser production
- SA’s Hydrogen Action Plan.

General meeting
There will be no meeting in Dec or Jan and our next will on Monday 17th February 2020.
