The owner does a lot with wood: growing it, using it for energy (including charcoal for cooking, blacksmithing and making things from it). There are gardens and orchards. They have a big focus on practical skills, including household skills, traditional blacksmithing, woodwork, bicycle and electric bicycle making and repair, chainsaw repair, and other bush engineering to make and fix things.
